Cookie Policy

Effective date: 1 June 2025 · Last updated: 27 May 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies Nawigo Srl uses on nawigo.com, why we use them and how you can control them. It applies alongside our Privacy Policy and complies with the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali Cookie Guidelines of 10 June 2021, the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) and the GDPR.

01What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, to remember your preferences and to provide information to the website owners.
Session cookies — temporary files deleted when you close your browser.
Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.
First-party cookies — set directly by nawigo.com.
Third-party cookies — set by external services we use (e.g. analytics providers).
Similar technologies such as web beacons, pixels and local storage may also be used and are covered by this policy.

02Types of Cookies We Use

Technical / Essential cookies — strictly necessary for the website to function. These cannot be disabled as the website would not work without them. No consent is required for technical cookies under Art. 122 D.Lgs. 196/2003 and the Garante 2021 Guidelines.
Analytics cookies — used to collect anonymised information about how visitors use our website. This helps us improve our services. These cookies require your consent. Where third-party analytics tools are used, we ensure IP addresses are anonymised before transmission and that Data Processing Agreements are in place.
Functional cookies — remember choices you make to improve your experience (e.g. your referral code, language preference). These require your consent.
We do not use: advertising cookies, behavioural tracking cookies, profiling cookies or social media tracking pixels at this stage of the platform. If this changes, this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested.

03Cookie List

The following table lists the specific cookies currently used on nawigo.com. This list is updated when our cookie usage changes.
Google Analytics and Italian law: following the Garante decisions of 2022–2023 regarding GA, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymisation enabled, Consent Mode v2 active, and no cross-site tracking. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, providing adequate protection for data transferred to the United States.

04Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on our site are set by third-party providers whose services we use. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies, which we link below for transparency:
Google Analytics (Google LLC) — analytics. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
We do not control third-party cookies beyond our configuration choices. If you have concerns about third-party cookies, you can manage them through your browser settings or the relevant opt-out tools listed in Section 6.

05Consent & Control

Cookie banner — how consent works

When you first visit nawigo.com, a cookie banner will appear. In compliance with the Garante 2021 Cookie Guidelines:

Non-essential cookies are not activated until you take an explicit, affirmative action (clicking “Accept” or equivalent). The following do not constitute valid consent: scrolling, continuing to browse, closing the banner, or pre-ticked boxes.

The banner offers at minimum two options: accept all non-essential cookies, or reject all non-essential cookies. You may also access granular settings to accept specific categories.

Your choice is saved in the nawigo_cookie_consent cookie for 12 months. You may change your preferences at any time via the Cookie Settings link in our website footer.

You may also control cookies directly through your browser. Note that disabling all cookies may affect the functionality of some features of our website.

06Browser Settings & Opt-Out Tools

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Links to cookie management instructions for common browsers:
For Google Analytics specifically, you may opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
For general information about cookies and opt-out tools, visit youronlinechoices.eu.

07Policy Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies, change cookie providers, or when laws or guidelines are updated. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
For significant changes — particularly the introduction of new cookie categories — we will display a new consent notice on the website and, where required, ask for your consent again.
